To learn a language is
to have one more window from which to view
the world
As well as being a valuable tool when travelling abroad, learning a foreign language helps pupils to understand the wider world, including different cultures and traditions. It can enhance the development of essential cognitive skills such as speaking and listening and is viewed as an attractive quality by employers. Engaging in languages promotes empathy and can improve memory, attention span and problem solving abilities.
