Reading celebrations, such as World Book Day, are used to highlight the importance of reading and encourage pupils to develop reading habits at home.
We also take part in regular Virtual Author Events, where pupils have the opportunity to engage directly with authors and illustrators. During these sessions, they can ask questions, fostering curiosity and deepening their understanding of a wide range of texts throughout the year.
In addition, we host annual Book Fairs and Book Swap events, providing pupils with access to a broader variety of reading materials and experiences.
Each classroom features a dedicated reading corner, complemented by several reading areas across the school, including our new library, all designed to celebrate and promote a love of reading.
