Forest School Beginnings

The UK needs millions more trees to reach its 2050 carbon net-zero target.

In support of this target, we are pleased to report that Greenfields Academy have been successful in an application to The Woodlands Trust securing 90 tree saplings!

Our new trees are due to arrive in March and will allow us to plant a mini Forest School classroom, creating a small, tranquil copse, as well as hedging to make a natural screen to help wildlife stay on the move.

The pupils are really looking forward to planting the trees in the hope of creating a new wildlife habitat on the school grounds.
